Steve Hapanowicz Launches His Carolinian Dory in Ohio

Steve Hapanowicz sent me these pictures and this note about his recent launch.

Hi Jeff,
Finally, 14 months after starting, I launched the "Metanoia."

It glides smooth as silk through the water and has room on the inside for all our gear.

Could not find 10 oars for less than $600.00 and so made those too. I had always planned to paint the oars, but they turned out so good looking that that left them in clear coat. The cooler serves as a live well, rowing seat and foot rest when you want to put your feet up.

Thanks answering all of my questions along the way - it has been an adventure.

Steve.

Nice job! I love seeing everyone's results.

Boatbuilding Pictures

Boat Building Photos

Please don't be embarrassed to send in photos of your projects. I get a lot of emails from people who tell me about their build but never send any pictures. I'd love to see them, as would all of the other people who are either building a boat or thinking about it. They need all the encouragement they can get.
