Doug Neal's Caladesi Carolina Dory Now in Florida

Doug Neal just sent me this note and some pics of his Caladesi that I featured 6 years ago. He built and used it in the Alaskan Arctic, but has since moved it to Florida.

Hello Jeff,
I hope that all is well with you today - all is well here! This is an update on the Caladesi that I built here in Kotzebue and that was highlighted on your website on October 14, 2015 titled "Caladesi in the Arctic."

I loved the boat so much that when I began splitting my time between Alaska and Florida, I shipped the boat by barge from Kotzebue to Seattle, and then had it transported from Seattle to Inglis, Florida where I have a house on the Withlacoochee River. After three months of hard travel, it took several days of hitting it pretty hard to get it looking good again, but it was well worth it, and as it was a great fit for Alaska, it has also been a great fit for Florida! I added a Bimini top and have attached a few photos! Thanks again for sharing the design with us!

Most Sincerely,
Doug

Please don't be embarrassed to send in photos of your projects. I get a lot of emails from people who tell me about their build but never send any pictures. I'd love to see them, as would all of the other people who are either building a boat or thinking about it. They need all the encouragement they can get.

I believe in offering you all the information you need to learn more about how to build a boat. That's why I offer free videos, free ebooks, and free reports. There's even some free plans available to insiders and some seminars I've delivered. To join, just click below:
