Lonnie Black Finishes Two Boats, a Glousterman and a Boothbay Rowing Dories

p>Lonnie Black just sent me these pictures and comments on his newly launched boats:

Hi Jeff,

Over the past few weeks I built your Glousterman, and the Boothbay dory. The idea, aside from curing some boredom, was a lightweight boat to use for some rowing exercise.

I'm on Lake Lotela in Avon Park, Fl which is great for rowing.

I am quite pleased with both of these little boats. The plans were very simple and accurate.

I'll attach a couple photos. The Glousterman seemed a little tipsy for me so I lowered the seat and added a removable water ballast tank which added greatly to the stability. When removed, a child or person would provide that ballast.

They were both fun builds and will be a nice addition to the fleet.

Please don't be embarrassed to send in photos of your projects. I get a lot of emails from people who tell me about their build but never send any pictures. I'd love to see them, as would all of the other people who are either building a boat or thinking about it. They need all the encouragement they can get.

I believe in offering you all the information you need to learn more about how to build a boat. That's why I offer free videos, free ebooks, and free reports. There's even some free plans available to insiders and some seminars I've delivered. To join, just click below:
