Glousterman Ultralight Dory Built for Salish Sea Race

Tim Smith's Glousterman is getting ready for a rowing race in the Salish Sea (Which includes the Puget Sound.) It is a very simple to build, 15' fast rowing dory that can handle rough water.

The very first one I built weighed 42 lbs empty. I took it to Huntington Harbor as its first test. This one will be a few pounds more since it features watertight compartments and a sliding seat.
