Seneca Just Launched in Southern California

Felix Metoyer just sent me this note and these pictures from his recent boat launch.

Hi Jeff,

I can't thank you enough for the plans, a couple years ago you hand delivered them to my wife at her work since it was for Father's Day and wouldn't make it if shipped. This past Sunday the 12th we took our Seneca out for its first hull test. Ultimately we plan on converting the tiller trolling motor to remote steering wheel on the helm and add a proper bench seat in the back, but she did great on the water.

The boats name is "proof of concept" as this was a bit of a test and learning experience for me to prove a boat could be built at home (with a family young child, minimal tools, and not much spare time;-). Although I am sure we will enjoy this lake and harbor boat for some time, my eye is already on the Winchester 23 as the next project to deploy skills learned on this one.

Thanks again and take care,

Felix Metoyer

Nice job for a first attempt at boatbuilding, especially since you're raising a young family! Hope you have a blast with it.

Boat Building Photos

Please don't be embarrassed to send in photos of your projects. I get a lot of emails from people who tell me about their build but never send any pictures. I'd love to see them, as would all of the other people who are either building a boat or thinking about it. They need all the encouragement they can get.

I believe in offering you all the information you need to learn more about how to build a boat. That's why I offer free videos, free ebooks, and free reports. There's even some free plans available to isiders and some seminars I've delivered. To join, just click below:
