Boatbuilding Tip: Simple Tool Shelf
George Stanfield, a law enforcement officer in Wyoming and avid boatbuilder, posted this on my Facebook page:
Free idea: screw some temporary boards or light plywood to your frames while building. This helps hold the frames in place until the chine logs and sheer clamps are installed and it gives you a handy place to sit your tools.
Great idea George. Wish I'd thought of that. Hint, hint: if you build a flat bottom boat, it'll also hold your beer instead of having to balance it on the keelson.
