Michael Howell Updates His Willamette River Kayak

Michael Howell posted these pictures and comments on the Boatbuilders Facebook page:

I wanted to share a few pics of my rebuild of my Willamette River Kayak. Over last winter I was having health issues and neglected the first build. Some of the ply delaminated and I decided to re skin it in cedar and cypress. I added a pic to show the extra framing that I installed to help keep the planks in the right shape. Yesterday my wife and I got to paddle from the public boat ramp to Springer's Point on Ocracoke Island NC.

The Willamette River is either a one holer or two, and either design can carry up to two people:

Please don't be embarrassed to send in photos of your projects. I get a lot of emails from people who tell me about their build but never send any pictures. I'd love to see them, as would all of the other people who are either building a boat or thinking about it. They need all the encouragement they can get.

I believe in offering you all the information you need to learn more about how to build a boat. That's why I offer free videos, free ebooks, and free reports. There's even some free plans available to insiders and some seminars I've delivered. To join, just click below:
