Corey Katsak's Sailing Nova Scotian Grand Banks Dory

Corey Katsak just completed this very well made 16' Nova Scotian sailing dory. Nice job! He said this in his email:

Hey Jeff,
I bought one your plans for the 16' grand banks dory back in March. I just finished building it today. I made a few changes to the design, like scarfing the plywood seams and using local Pennsylvania white oak for the frame, interior wood work, rudder, and dagger board. I also use I sunfish sail in a oceanic sprite rig with a laminated Douglas fir mast and boom for the sail. I attached a few pictures. Your plans were great. I had a lot of fun with the build.

Boat Building Photos

Please don't be embarrassed to send in photos of your projects. I get a lot of emails from people who tell me about their build but never send any pictures. I'd love to see them, as would all of the other people who are either building a boat or thinking about it. They need all the encouragement they can get.

I believe in offering you all the information you need to learn more about how to build a boat. That's why I offer free videos, free ebooks, and free reports. There's even some free plans available to isiders and some seminars I've delivered. To join, just click below:
